Karlie Farmer is a producer and post-production audio engineer serving the greater Kansas City Metro and beyond. She graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sound Recording and Engineering from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. During her time at Webster, she had the incredible opportunity to learn from award-winning audio engineers, who combined have worked with artists like Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Steely Dan, Supertramp, and Yo-Yo Ma, to name a few. These engineers have contributed to some of her favorite records to date.
During her decade-long career, she has collaborated with Disney, Lucasfilm, and Skywalker Sound as an ADR Recordist on Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Locally, she has had the privilege of working on productions with Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelce, along with Magic Johnson, and Bobby Witt Jr. as a boom operator, recording engineer, and sound mixer. Karlie has also showcased her skills in the world of podcasting by producing shows such as "On the Right Side of History with Kansans for Life" and the 2024 NFL Draft episode of "The Athletic."
For Karlie, the field of audio engineering is both highly technical and creative, a mix that fits her unique talents and capabilities. In the production world, it has always been clear to her that great audio enhances great storytelling. Karlie enjoys collaborating with both film directors and artists alike to help create high-quality audio that feels natural and inspiring.
